RUSSO-UKRAINIAN WAR || NEXT GENERATION WAR IN EUROPE || BATTLE OF DONBASS

After 2005, there was a period when Russia started to play to the peaks again.  NATO and the European union led by the USA after the overthrow of the Soviet regime,  Seeping through the torn iron curtain, he set out to encircle his Russia and create an economic circle of isolation.

For this, he turned the axes of the countries that broke off from the Soviets to himself.  The Russians, who lost many of their advantages with the collapse of the Soviet Union,  Under Vladimir Putin's leadership, in order to regain these advantages and take them further,  It tries to increase its influence in the places it sees as its own backyard and to make its presence felt in the Middle East and Mediterranean.

Russo-Ukrainian War

 Russo-Ukrainian War

At the points where the interests of the parties collide, humanity witnesses the hybrid wars in which the aforementioned parties and other economic giants enter one another….  Today, great states need great economic, military and natural resources to start war with conventional weapons for their purposes.

Strong political structures, as mobilizing large reserves will bring great risks,  They have adopted hybrid warfare methods where risk and cost are less.  Hybrid war model; cyber warfare, economic war, proxy war, sabotage along with psychological warfare,  Incorporating different types of warfare and activities such as infiltration, spying operations involving secret operations

It is a new generation warfare discipline built on the ability to organize and execute them in a complex way.  Russia, which has applied this model against the west in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria, is now trying a similar initiative on Ukraine.

Ukraine has improved its relations with the European Union and the USA in all respects as a result of the initiatives of Western countries.  and although it paid some price, especially after the Orange Revolution in 2004, it mostly turned its direction to the west.

But Russia, which perceived Ukraine's attitude as a threat to its national security from the very beginning,  It carried out many activities in order not to lose its dominance over its southwestern neighbor.

The most fertile fruit of these activities; Pro-Russian leader Viktor Yanukovich won the 2010 elections.  Diplomatically victorious Russia,  As a result of Yanukovich's policies that were compatible with them, he managed to protect his interests in Ukraine for a certain period of time.

On the other hand, the President's tolerance of Russia on many issues  and its distance from the West increased the tensions within the country between Western supporters and Russian supporters.

RUSSO-UKRAINIAN WAR

The arrest of Yulia Tymoshenko, one of the opponents who reacted against the natural gas deal with Russia

It was an indication that something will happen soon inside the country.  While the Russian intelligence and army were rapidly infiltrating Ukraine's veins, the Kiev government, which acted as if taking orders from the Kremlin,  In November 2013, he announced that he would not sign the European Union Association Agreement, which had been prepared for a long time.

This decision of the government constituted the first drop of blood to flow ...  The government's message was very clear.  Our direction was saying Russia, not the USA and Europe.

Maybe they had to say that because Russia,  It threatened that if it signed the agreement, it would lead Ukraine to collapse through military, economic and diplomatic intervention.

The attitude of the Ukrainian government has dropped like a bomb on the agenda of Western countries that have been wanting to bring this country to their side for years.  While the media branded President Yanukovich as a supporter of Putin, people in western Ukraine took to the streets to protest this decision.

Next Generation War in Europe

The protests, which became more and more widespread, turned into an armed conflict between the police and the public in February 2014, causing the deaths of dozens of people.

The government of Viktor Yanukovich and Mikola Azarov was overthrown on 22 February 2014, following the growing protests as part of the Euromaidan movement.

Protesters took control of government buildings in the capital Kiev, along with the city itself.  As a result of the unavoidable events, President Yanukovych fled Kiev to go to Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine, where the Russian population is high.  On the same day, the parliament, which gathered hastily, dismissed the president and reached a consensus on holding a re-election.

Yanukovic said he was the country's elected leader, saying he did not recognize the action.  Most of the eastern provinces also said they stood behind their presidents.  In the wake of these flaming days, the Ukrainian parliament,  In areas with a large Russian-speaking population  It passed a decision overriding a bill envisioning the use of Russian as a second official government language.

BATTLE OF DONBASS

This decision was the second major development that threw wood into the fire.  Millions of Russians, seeing themselves as endangered, took to the streets as part of the Anti-Maidan movement.

The provisional Kiev government obviously took a wrong step because this development; it would cause the lurking Russia to enter the event quietly but with all its weight…

The Putin government, which announced that it would protect the rights of the Russians in post-crisis Ukraine and was authorized by the parliament for military intervention,

however, he did not interfere with any of the events that took place in his neighbor on paper.  But de facto it was in the middle of it all…

It was the Russian government that organized the pro-Russian protesters and supported the militia groups with the help of weapons.  The Russians, who have used this method before,

Not recognizing the new government that took office in Ukraine, he considered what was done to Yanukovych as a coup and increased his support for pro-Russian protesters.  Anti-Maidan protests were not limited to the eastern and southern provinces of the country.  In the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the privately-managed port of Sevastopol, on 23 February, the Russian side uprisings started.  These protesters, who were armed at once, removed their emblems from their uniforms.
