Your religion... Your language, your honor... If you don't crown them on your head... I do not give my right! If you do not take care of the sacred trust... If you spend your youth with the whispers of the devil... I do not give my right! The calendars showed September 21, 1845. Payitaht was cheering up with the birth of Sultan Abdülmecid's son, Abdülhamid. When Abdulhamid lost his mother, Tirimüjgan Hatun, at the age of eleven, Piristû Hanımefendi became a mother to him.

Abdulhamid, who studied science with private teachers, knew 5 languages by heart and was closely interested in many branches of science. Since he did not express his thoughts and opinions much in his youth, the people of the palace and the state elders did not show any interest in him. However, when Pertevniyal fHatun brought her closer to Sultan Abdülaziz, her intelligence and political understanding brought her to the fore. With Mithat Pasha's dethronement of the Sultan, Abdülhamid Han ascended to the throne on Thursday, August 31, 1876, with the promise of the Constitutional Monarchy.

When Sultan Abdulhamid ascended the throne, the Ottoman Empire was going through its most depressed times. European states and Russia took a stand against the Ottoman Empire, and at the same time, unrest arose in Arab societies under Ottoman rule. As promised to Midhat Pasha, Sultan Abdulhamid declared the Constitutional Monarchy on December 23, 1876. However, with this announcement, the powers of the Sultan were greatly reduced, and the State was left to Midhat Pasha and his followers. During this time, the state entered many wars and was defeated. With the loss of the 93 War with the Russians, Sultan Abdulhamid abolished the Constitutional Monarchy. These wars, which were fought for 2 years, resulted very heavily for the Ottoman Empire. Sultan

Abdulhamid alleviated these heavy treaties imposed on the Ottoman Empire in line with the defeat with a superior strategy. The lands lost in this period are entirely due to the mistakes of the Parliament. (Romania, Serbia, Montenegro...) Abdulhamid Han did not sell a single inch of land when he had the absolute authority of the state, and he preserved the state borders in the best way. During this period, the French occupied Tunisia, using the Berlin agreement as an excuse. Even if indirectly, the reason for this was Mithat Pasha and his followers.

Many such land losses were caused by the mistakes of the Majlis-i Mebûsan. Those who wanted to destroy the Ottoman Empire were provoking the people against Sultan Abdulhamid. They were creating a great perception by putting the "Red Sultan" headlines in the newspapers.(These perception operations were so great that we can see the effect even today.) 2. Abdulhamid Han was alone many times in his political life.Despite this loneliness,

he opened thousands of schools, signed thousands of projects and modernized the state. Sultan Abdulhamid Han, who kept the state alive for a long time by following a policy of balance throughout his reign, was deposed by a military uprising on March 31, 1325 (April 13, 1909) according to the Rumi Calendar. This event is known as the "31 March Incident".
