Sultan once and for all and so Ibrahim who'd spent much of his early life in a cage was imprisoned once again to spend the rest of his days in a dungeon but as it turns out, those days were extremely numbered. After just days of being locked up, Ibrahim the Mad was unceremoniously strangled. The throne then passed to a seven-year-old son, Mahmed. The baby he tossed into a pool to win an argument kicking off an entirely new chapter in the history of the Ottoman Empire but that's a story for another time.
