Three days after the siege, a Jew came and told the Holy Prophet (sws) that if you lay siege for even a month, you would not succeed.  forced to flee leaving the corpses. Those who fled from Qila Zubair took refuge in the fort now. It was concealed that the Muslims would not be able to capture this fort under any circumstances. However, the Muslims conquered it as well. They were allowed to remain in Khyber even after their heavy defeat. These people remained in Khyber till the time of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA).
